Michelle and Matt have such a cute story. This, from the story they submitted from my Free Wedding Photography Contest, I’ll let Michelle tell it in her own words:
3 years ago in 2010 I started working at a bank in a grocery store. It was my first day and I noticed this odd guy with nothing in his cart walking back and forth, waiting for me to talk to him. Little did I know he was a “secret shopper” for the bank waiting for me to get him to open an account! Of course I was nervous at the fact that this cute guy kept trying to get my attention. The rest is history. We always had a joke that I was the Roadrunner and he was Wile E. Coyote because he chased me awhile before we actually went out. We started going on dates more frequently and becoming closer ever day. For our one year anniversary, we planned a road trip to Colorado with my family. So on my birthday he took me to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado. He picked that spot because of the resemblance of the scenery in the cartoons. We were hiking the trail when we ran ahead of me. And when I finally caught up to him, he was there holding a sign just like Wile E Coyote did in the cartoons that read “will you marry me?” I was shocked and at a loss for words. I never thought I could find the one I would spend the rest of my life with in such a short time but I am so grateful for how our love has grown.
We decided to do their engagement session before the winter hit. We picked a perfect day! The colors were amazing, and no rain in sight. It was a little chilly, but we made do. We headed to Lake Katherine, one of my favorite spots in the area. And, I got to meet their beautiful Boxer, Samson. He had zero interest in me, but he was all about making sure Matt and Michelle were safe from all the small dogs in the area. Such a good boy.
Thank you both for booking with me! I can’t wait for your wedding next year at Independence Grove!
